Photo Shoots

Ok, so it's been awhile again...I should probably give up on this, but instead I'm going to try a little harder. I've been staying very busy with work and school. In my free time I've been taking on some Photo shoots. I've been having tons of fun with them. Over Labor Day weekend I photographed my first wedding. I was very nervous, but things went a lot smoother than expected. I have included a few pics that I took. This coming weekend I'm doing 3 different senior pics. So with those and a wedding I have to attend my weekend will be shot. Well besides all that I really dont know what else to inform you all on, so I bess be getting to bed.

LIFE JUST ISN'T FAIR

So I'm sure you all know that my life has changed quite a bit in this last month. There for is the reason why I haven't been on here for awhile keeping you up to date on what I have been doing. As I'm sure most of you know my father passed away on July 3rd from Metastatic Melanoma cancer. He fought a short 8 month battle from the day we found out it his illness was cancer. The first few months were a bit hard and the last month or so he was in quite a bit of pain. The tumors in his small intestine, and liver were taking over his body, there was no way that Chemo would be able to help, the cancer was more less living off the chemo. So on the 6th of June the doctors gave my dad weeks to live and from there hospice came into our home and helped make my fathers last weeks some what comfortable. It's just so hard to realize that he is not with us on earth no more, but instead he is watching us from above. I do know that he is no longer in pain or suffering no more. I couldn't thank the AV Fire Department, AV Ambulance, Chickasaw County Rescue Squad and all of my dads family and friends for all the support and prayers they have given my family. My father was truely a hero and made a mark on so many people. He is going to be missed by so many people. He will always be my guardian angel. LOVE YOU DAD!!! Besides all the sappy things in my life, this past weekend we had my mom's family reunion. We all camped at Black Hawk Park in Cedar Falls. It was a good time. Played a lot of Bean Bags, and just enjoyed catching up with everyone. It was a perfect weekend for camping. This Thursday Adam and I will be flying out to New York for 5 days. We are super excited!! It will be Adam's first time out there so I quite anxious to see what his reaction will be. We'll be staying with some good friends of mine. I will be sure to post some pictures when we return. Well I feel that I have written a book now, and should probably get some sleep so I'm gonna sign off now. Hope everyone is doing well!!! Keep me posted on what is going on with all of you!!

Weekend Update

So i just got back into cedar falls yesterday afternoon. Busy weekend it was. It all pretty much started last thursday when a few friends on mine and I went and saw Martina McBride in concert. What a good show it was, probably one of the best shows I've seen in awhile. On Saturday night I went to my friend Tessa's Bachelorette party. That was another good time. I think i drank a little too much, but it was all worth it. Can't believe she is getting married in less than 3 weeks. Sunday I had to work in the morning, but once I was off I traveled back home to spend sometime with the family. Things at home are going ok. My dad is doing ok. He's been having a lot more pain lately so that have him taking morphine now. Hopefully that helps get rid of it, he looks just miserable when he's not comfortable. Sunday night my mom, adam and I made tacos for supper. They were excellent!!! haven't had them in awhile. Also Angela was back home visiting so I was able to chill with her for awhile. Was so happy to see her, wish I didn't have to work and could actually spend more time hanging out. Can't wait to head out to New York with Adam, it's actually a month today that we leave. Well besides working last night, this morning and tonight I'm just trying to stay busy. I'm going to try and go back home sometime this week and spend some more time with my family, but not sure when. Well that's all I have for now, take care everyone!!!

IT'S BEEN WAY TO LONG!!

Well it's been a long time since I had one of these, and have decided that I should maybe try to get back on track and keep everyone updated on what is going on with my life..I believe it's been over a year since the last one I have had, and basically things have changed drastically in my life. so here's a brief update: I am currently living in Cedar Falls with three other girls. I have completed my first year of photography school and have one left to go. Then I will be officially done with school. I am still dating Adam, things couldn't be any better. My family has been down a difficult road this past year. Last Nov. 06' we found out that my dad has melanoma skin cancer that has entered his blood stream and has taken over his body the past 7 months. They have given him weeks. So each day we pray for another one with him. He is staying very strong which really helps. Everytime I can get a chance I go home. So besides all of that not a whole lot else is going on. Hopefully I can stay up to date with this and not leave you all hanging. Take care...till next time!
